Health Care Act
Most US citizens, health care providers, educators, media and congressmen have no idea what the entire ACA law (Affordable Care Act or “Obamacare”) entails. They only grasp the limited knowledge that the media reported. The article posted on this website on February 22, 2017, The Affordable Care Act – an explanation was sent to several senators and representations, including the speaker of the house. Of the few responses received, it is clear they have not read this explanation, nor did they read the Affordable Care Act as published by the government. We cannot solve the health care cost crisis if we do not understand the causes for unreasonable expenses and take responsibility for effective and well planned change. Our “first line” nurses and doctors involved in the day to day activities of healing disease and promoting health are our best consultants, yet they are seldom utilized to solve these complex problems.
Critics of the ACA are adamant about the failure of the Act because so many people witnessed their insurance premiums skyrocket while the coverage received was decreased. The ACA did not cause that to happen. The powerful insurance companies did that.
Do not “throw the baby out with the bath water”. Please read the previously posted article on this subject and then connect with the government link provided at the end of the article to familiarize yourself with all ten titles of the law. These titles deal with specific causes of inefficiency, duplicity, poor management, and exploitation within the industry. Congress failed to understand and implement those laws.
